AMENDED: Requires employers, including nonprofits, to provide earned sick time; requires employees to accrue a minimum of 1 hour of paid earned sick time for every 30 hours worked; provides alternatives for small employers and part time employees; permits earned sick time to be used for the employee’s mental or physical health, care for a family member, response to domestic violence or sexual assault, meetings related to a child’s health or disability, closure due to a public health emergency, or care for a child due to a school closure; prohibits retaliation for use of earned sick time.
